Tis the season to be baking…

I can’t quite believe that it’s December on Friday – how did that happen?!  You’d think having filmed two Christmas shows already that I would be prepared, but apart from my Christmas cake, which was made in October and has slowly been fed rum every week, well I’ve still got a few things left to do!!

I am looking forward to two days of festive baking at Seasoned Cookery School on December 1st and 2nd, when I will be sharing lots of tips to help prepare for the Big day as well as demonstrating and making some delicious Christmas inspired bakes to get you (and me!) in the mood for the season.

We’ll be making one of my favourite festive mid-morning treats, cinnamon rolls – the perfect bake to have with a coffee.  I will also demonstrate my simple stilton & fig sables, the perfect make ahead nibble to bake and enjoy whilst drinking a glass (or two) of fizz.  And how about my Rudolf treats?  They’re simple and delicious carrots & spice inspired cookies to make with children as an alternative to leaving a carrot for Rudolf on Christmas Eve!

And if that wasn’t enough, we will be making a showstopper of a chocolate and Amaretto torte to enjoy as an alternative dessert over the festive season.  Topped with a rich ganache and an almond brittle – it’s sure to be a crowd pleaser!
